Read the following notes for running the PE, PE-GE and GE experiments in the Tech Paper: 1. Create new versions PE and PEGE using RunGTAP by loading the zip files PE.zip and PEGE.zip respectively. 2. Delete *.GSS and *.GST files if any in the module directories in C:\rungtap (or wherever your RunGTAP exists). 3. For the PE model version, load the experiment file named TECP-2. From "Versions" Menu, select "Modules", click below the TAB file in "version specific settings" and select "stored in the version folder". Select "none" and "no" (under "Run?") for all other version specific settings. This is needed because PE model has no other sub-modules like welfare decomposition. 4. To run the PEGE model experiment, load the experiment TECHP1. If you run this after running step 5, you may get some warnings, which can be ignored as you will be fixing them now. From "Versions" Menu, select "Modules", click below the TAB file in "version specific settings" and select "stored in the version folder". Similarly select "stored in the version folder" and "yes" (under "Run?") for DECOMP. Select "none" and "no" (under "Run?") for all other version specific settings. This is needed to ensure that PEGE-specific welfare decomposition is done for the experiment. 5. To run the standard GTAP Model experiment within PEGE model, load the experiment TECHPGE in PEGE version. From "Versions" Menu, select "Modules", click below the TAB file in "version specific settings" and select "none". Similarly select "none" and "no" for all other version specific settings. This would ensure that standard GTAP model, not the PEGE model, will be used for this experiment.
