GTAP-E is an extension of the standard GTAP model, with the added option of inter-fuel and energy-capital substitution in production as well as household consumption activities ("E-module"), carbon dioxide emission accounting and taxzation ("C-module"), and carbon emissions trading ("T-Module).

The current version is based on release 6.2 of the standard GTAP model and with the various modules (E,C,T) "grafted" onto it.

It is a "parallel" version of "release 6-pre2" of the GTAPE version, published by GTAP Center as ongoing work by Alla Golub and Robert McDougall.

2.	DATA BASE

The data base derives from standard data base release 5. Extensions to the parameters file cover substitution in production, and emission trading. Extensions to the data file cover carbon dioxide emissions, emission quotas, and carbon taxation.
