II.	EXPERIMENT FILES: SHOCKS, CLOSURES AND SOLUTION METHOD- :

To replicate the experiments with RunGTAP, go to "SOLVE" in RunGTAP, click on "Load Experiment" and choose one of the experiments EXP1, EXP2, EXP3, or EXP4. This will automatically load the shocks, closure, parameter file and solution method for the experiment of interest.

EXP1: Unilateral removal of domestic agricultural policy instruments and agricultural trade policy instruments by the U.S. without adjustment for the existence of set aside. The EU insulates its agricultural sector.

EXP2: Unilateral agricultural domestic and trade liberalization by the EU through removal of the CAP and without its replacement by national agricultural policies.

EXP3: Examines unilateral removal of domestic agricultural policies and agricultural trade policies by Australia. The EU insulates its agricultural sector.

EXP4: Unilateral removal of domestic agricultural policies and agricultural trade policies by Canada. The EU insulates its agricultural sector.

CLOSURE

With the exception of experiment 2, the European Union's Common Agriculture Policy is captured by "swapping" selected policy variables with their counterpart policy targets, as follows:

1) Swap tx for all non-food commodities from Europe and all commodities from other regions with qo of food produced in Europe. The policy variable, qo, is also targeted by the variable export subsidies tx.

2) Swap tm and pr for all non-food commodities from Europe and all commodities from other regions. The variable pr captures the ratio of domestic to imported tradeable goods in Europe and is targeted by the variable import levy tm.

In experiment 2, the regular "Book" GE closure is used.
