The goal of the conference is to promote the exchange of ideas among economists
conducting quantitative analysis of global economic issues. Particular emphasis
will be placed on applied general equilibrium methods, data, and application.
Related theoretical and applied work is also welcome.
Conference Format
The conference will be structured with the intent of maximizing discussion
and the exchange of ideas among researchers. Sessions will involve the presentation
of invited or contributed papers. Policy Panel sessions will also be included.
On the basis of submitted abstracts the program committee will select papers
eligible for presentation at the conference. All presented papers will be
available on the GTAP Web site and on CD-ROM at the beginning of the conference.
Speakers will be asked to discuss the highlights and implications of their
work. A substantial amount of time will also be devoted to questions from
the audience.
