Biography Gladys M. Navarro is a Professor of Economics at the Saint Louis University Philippines. She is currently the head of the graduate program of the school of accountancy and business management. Her research interests are on resource valuation with risk-based cost-benefit analysis, political economy with focus on voting behavior, and labor economics in subsistence economies. She is currently working on the policy directions of the Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) in the Philippines together with Dr. Leonardo Lanzona. She is also engage in Youth Barometer Survey of the Philippines which aims to determine the migration, labor and political choices of young people. The survey intends to collect a panel data over a period of time to track the thoughts of Filipino youth. On October 18, 2013, she will attend a 10-day training grant on Resource Valuation sponsored by the Environmental and Economic Program in Southeast Asia (EEPSEA) through the Worldfish Foundation, Inc. The GTAP had been an important organization to her because of the opportunity it provides to members. |
