Funded By: The preparation of the I-O table was facilitated by resources from ECLAC, UN-DESA and GTZ. The original SAM was prepared with the auspices of the Ministry of Foment to the Industry and Trade, with resources from US-AID administered by CARANA Corporation, and UNDP’s country office in Nicaragua. The inclusion of Nicaragua into GTAP is the result of a collaborative effort between ECLAC and UN-DESA to facilitate improved quantitative trade and macroeconomic policy analysis in Central America.

Table Improvements: The construction of the contributed input-output (I-O) table into GTAP format (by Carlos Ludena) is based on a 2000 Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) of Nicaragua that was built to conduct the study of Sanchez and Vos (2006). From previous version, there is revised mapping of "wht" and inclusion of export subsidies.
