Biography
Curriculum Vitae - Job Nmadu

Born on 4th of October, 1963, he started his educational pursuit at St. John’s (later Kofar Egbogi) Primary School (1972-1976) and South Primary School, Bida (1976/1977), then Government Secondary School, Izom (1977-1980), Government Secondary School, Suleja (1980-1982) and School of Basis Studies, Zaria (1982-1983). He obtained B.Sc. Agriculture from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1983-1987) then M.Sc. Agricultural Economics (1994-1998) and Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics specializing in Econometrics (1998-2002). He also obtained Diploma in Data Processing and Computer Programming (1995) from Soft Design Computer Institute, Zaria. He attended Advanced Leadership Course at Haggai Institute, Singapore in 2006 and obtained Competence as Trainer in 2011 at Olusegun Obasanjo Centre for Organic Research and Development (OOCORD) in conjunction with Nigerian Organic Agriculture Network (NOAN) facilitated by Agro Eco Louis Bolk Institute, Netherlands. He assumed a faculty position in Department of Agricultural Engineering of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Nigeria in 1992 as Lecturer III and rose to the rank of a Chief Lecturer in 2006. He then joined Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension Technology of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria as a Senior Lecturer in 2006 and was appointed Head of Department in February, 2008, a position he held till November, 2012. In 2010 he was promoted to the rank of Associate professor and belong to some professional associations notably Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists (NAAE). Under his Headship of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension Technology, he managed staff strength of 32 Academic and five support. The annual budget of the Department is N140m. He commenced the postgraduate programme of the Department and graduated the first set of the postgraduate students. To his credit, he has supervised 3 HND, 40 B. Tech., 30 M. Tech., 7 PhD students. He has published more than 30 papers in local and international journals, 3 textbooks, more than 20 papers in conference proceedings and presented more than 12 papers in conferences. He has served as expert in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of Etisalat base stations in 16 states of the North (2011), Environment Audit of AshakaCem Plc (2012) and Adoption of Technologies by Fadama III beneficiaries (2013).
