Biography Curriculum Vitae - John Asafu-Adjaye RESEARCH INTERESTS I am interested in the use of economic models to analyse policy issues involving the environment and natural resources, and economic development, in general. I have carried out research and consultancy work in these areas in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Fiji, Vietnam, and China. My previous clients include The World Bank (Environment Division), AusAID, FAO, the Government of Papua New Guinea, National Centre for Development Studies, Australian National University, Queensland Treasury, Queensland Environmental Protection Agency, the UN Economic Commission for Asia and the Pacific, and KPMG Ltd. The services I have rendered include CGE modelling, economic evaluation of proposed projects, feasibility studies, environmental impact assessment, socioeconomic impact assessment, preparation of training materials and conducting workshops on the integration of environmental considerations into economic decision-making processes. I am the author or co-author of over 70 research-based publications, including 4 books and monographs, 9 book chapters, 43 refereed journal articles, and 10 commissioned reports. My book, Environmental Economics: An Introduction for the Non-Economist: Tools and Policies for Sustainable Development (2005, World Scientific Publishing) is in its 2nd Edition, and has been well subscribed so date.
