Biography
Curriculum Vitae - Sonia Quiroga
Dr. Sonia Quiroga is a Professor of Economics at the Complutense University of Madrid in Spain. Her research focuses on the quantitative relations of climate, water, weather and the economy specially understanding the analysis of the economic value of hydro-meteorological information and climate change economic impact assessment. Methodological approaches include the econometric estimation of empirical relationships, CGE modelling, Cost-Benefit analysis, Contingent Evaluation and risk management tools. She has contributed to a range of European Commission research projects. She has worked as STC for a number of socio-economic evaluations of WMO, World Bank, UNFCCC, UNECE FAO funded projects. She has disseminated research findings in numerous prestigious international research journals and recognized international conferences.
