Biography
Prof. Heinrich Bohlmann is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Pretoria where he specializes in the development and application of dynamic computable general equilibrium models for practical policy research. His academic and contract work has mainly focused on macroeconomic planning, sectoral impact analysis, energy and environmental policy, and labour market topics. Prof. Bohlmann also currently serves on the Council of the Economic Society of South Africa where he was previously elected as President for the 2021-23 term. He was also appointed as Research Director of the Macro-Micro Modelling Group at the Partnership for Economic Policy from 2021-26. Prof. Bohlmann holds a PhD in Economics from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
