Biography
Saeed is an economic modeller with specific inclination towards CGE modelling and complexity approaches in Economics of Agri-Food Sustainability. He holds a PhD in economics from University of Amsterdam and a MSc in Mathematics from Utrecht University. Saeed has varied work experiences in major EU and national projects on the economic impact of mitigation policy, resource efficiency and circular economy, R&D and Innovation support in the EU cohesion policy, and eco-innovation. He has recently joined the MAGNET modelling team at Wageningen Economic Research as a senior researcher in food system modelling. His current research seeks to provide a systemic perspective in analysing food-energy-climate nexus problems with a particular focus on the trade-offs and synergies between climate policies and nutrition security in developing countries.
