Biography
Dr. Olumide Steven Ayodele is the Macroeconomics Expert at the Policy Analysis and Research Project of the Nigerian National Assembly. He has project responsibility for conducting economic research, analysis of topical economic policy issues and relevant bills. He also coordinates the Monitoring and Evaluation activities in PARP and is actively involved in the planning and implementation of some PARP’s capacity building activities.

He has a BSc. Economics, Ondo State University, and MSc. and Ph.D Economics, University of Ibadan.

He is on leave from the Department of Economics, University of Calabar where he is a Senior Lecturer.

He has undertaken assignments for several international organisations and has extensive hands-on experience in bill analysis, qualitative and quantitative economic research, policy analysis and econometric modelling.

In furtherance of his professional and research interests, Ayodele has participated in several conferences, workshops and seminars both locally and internationally to share knowledge.

An IMF Scholar, he is a Life Member of the Nigerian Economic Society. He is also a member of the African Finance and Economic Association, the African Economic Research Consortium, the Global Trade Analysis Project and the Global Development Network.

His teaching and research interests straddle Macroeconomics, International Economics, Public Finance and Development Economics. Ayodele’s articles have appeared in scholarly journals in these fields of econmics. He joined PARP in 2008.
