"International Service Trade: A Case Study"

Abstract
Rug repair is a quintessential service industry, one which has operated as a non-traded service for many years. In this talk I describe a new firm which provides rug repair services in Denver using a repair facility operating in a free trade area in Turkey. Operation of this firm illustrates a number of the conceptual challenges facing trade policy analysts who are thinking about how to quantify the gains from liberalization.
