"Modelling the gender effects of trade: current findings and ways forward"

Abstract
A number of general equilibrium models have been developed in recent years to study the effects of trade liberalisation on gender inequalities in developing countries. This note analyses the main insights from these studies, highlights strengths and limitations of the current approaches and provides suggestions for further developments.
