"A CGE Model and policy making for Uzbekistan: notes and examples" by Muradova, Khusnia Abstract The model represents Uzbekistan as a small open economy with 13 production sectors, 13 goods, and two factors of production. There is a single, representative agent that is endowed with the country's labor and capital, and that consumes the domestic output from producers in an optimal way. Paper also analyses modeling examples such as: Economic Impacts from Tax Reform. Here the author demonstrated how the Uzbekistan-SOE model is used to determine the economic consequences of tax policy. It began with a scenario where VAT rates are set uniformly. Then it’s considered a scenario with a labor tax. |
