"A GTAP-E Extensions for Emission Abatement Analysis"

Abstract
In GTAP-E simulations of carbon taxation or tradeable permits for emissions abatement, differing responses are observed in different countries. Explaining these is difficult, both because of the multiplicity of abatement mechanisms in the model, and because at some points, we need not direct but total requirements coefficients. We extend the model to provide a decomposition of changes in emissions, addressing those difficulties.
