"Effects of ICT investment on South Africa's agro-processing industries"
by Lefophane, Mapula Hildah and Mmatlou Kalaba

Abstract
In today's era of technological advancement, the role of information and communication technology (ICT) as a powerful catalyst to boost productivity and resuscitate growth is highly acknowledged. This paper aimed to examine the effects of ICT on South Africa's agro-processing industries. The effects of ICT investment on agro-processing industries and selected macro-economic variables were examined through hypothetical policy simulations using the computable general equilibrium model. The simulation results underscore the need for policy measures to increase ICT investment in the agro-processing subsector to increase growth.
