"Chapter 8T: United Kingdome of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" by Leck, Robert Abstract The UK input-output (I-O) table in the GTAP 12 Data Base was constructed from key input output tables supplied by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). The data provided covers the calendar year 2019, with comparison to the previous I-O tables released in 2018. The data were cleaned and transformed to meet GTAP’s requirements. Finally, the data tables were reclassified to provide the matrices required by GTAP. This paper describes the construction of the British input-output table for the GTAP 12 Data Base. The provision of the data for the UK was undertaken as part of the Department for Business and Trade’s commitment as a member of the GTAP consortium. |
