"Chapter 17A: FIT and Global Data Assembly - FIT" by van der Mensbrugghe, Dominique Abstract The ‘FIT’ procedure is one of the many components of the overall ’build’ of the GTAP Data Base. During ‘FIT’, individual country input-output tables (IOTs) are updated using an assortment of global data such as bilateral trade flows from the COMTRADE database provided by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), tariff measures from the International Trade Centre (ITC/Geneva) and energy data from the International Energy Agency (IEA) among others. |
