"Chapter 8: Regional Input-Output Data" by Aguiar, Angel Abstract This chapter documents the input-output tables (IOTs) used in constructing the GTAP 11 Data Base. The GTAP Data Base consists mainly of intersectoral transactions and the primary source for this data is a large collection of single-country IOTs contributed to GTAP by researchers from around the world. This chapter summarizes this collection process. Documentation for each country contribution to this version is available in sub-chapters.1 Other existing countries submitted prior to GTAP 11 can be found in the documentation for the relevant version.2 In this chapter we describe what’s new in the contributed I-O tables in the GTAP 11 Data Base and outline the screening and preliminary adjustments we make to the contributed tables. We also briefly discuss the processing of these tables. Finally we provide some summary statistics of the contributed IOT. |
