Biography Curriculum Vitae - Jeffrey Kuo Jeffrey Je-Uei Kuo is an Assistant Research Fellow at the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST). His research focuses on environmental economics and sustainable development, international trade, computable general equilibrium (CGE) modeling, and applied econometrics. He applies the Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) framework, CGE modeling, and applied econometric methods to evaluate environmental, trade, and sustainability policies. His current work focuses on improving Taiwan's Food Balance Sheet to enhance the quality and consistency of agricultural statistics and support food-system analysis, evidence-based policymaking, and future integration with economy-wide modeling frameworks. His broader interests include global value chains, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and quantitative policy evaluation. Jeffrey previously conducted research at The George Washington University's Institute for International Economic Policy (IIEP) while pursuing his Ph.D. in Economics, where he developed CGE models and conducted empirical analyses of international trade and economic policy. He holds an M.Phil. and an M.S. in Economics from The George Washington University, an M.A. in Economics from Syracuse University, and B.B.A. and M.S. degrees in International Business from National Chengchi University. Before pursuing graduate studies in the United States, he worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Economics, Academia Sinica. |
