"Incorporating the OECD-ICIO structure into the GTAP model"
Authors: Itakura, Ken

Abstract
As production processes have become highly fragmented and supply chain networks have expanded beyond national borders, multi-regional input-output (MRIO) tables have garnered increasing attention as a robust tool for analyzing the structural characteristics of international production networks, identifying the sources of value-added, and quantifying the contribution of each production sector within each country to the overall value-added generated across the network. Among the prominent MRIOs, the OECD publishes the Inter-Country Input-Output (ICIO) table, which encompasses 50 economic activities across 80 countries for the years 1995-2022. This presentation delineates the methodology for integrating the OECD-ICIO structure into the static GTAP model and database. An illustrative simulation of the extension of CPTPP is conducted utilizing the modified GTAP model and database.
