Dr. Lee has held academic positions in the United States (UC Irvine) and Japan (Nagoya University, Kobe University and Osaka University), and worked on a global environment project at the OECD. He is currently Associate Editor of the Asian Economic Journal, and served on the Executive Board of the American Committee on Asian Economic Studies from 1994-2000 and as a Program Committee member for International Conventions of the East Asian Economic Association from 2000-2010.
