Biography
Curriculum Vitae - Ernesto Valenzuela

Ernesto Valenzuela is Senior Lecturer of Economics at Federation University Australia. Previously, he was Associate Dean of Research of the Federation Business School, Senior Lecturer and Economics Discipline Head in the school of Business and Economics at Monash University-Gippsland, Senior Lecturer and Director of the Centre for International Economic Studies at the University of Adelaide. From 2005-07, he was a full time Economist Consultant at The World Bank's Development Research Group in Washington DC. He has been involved as a Lecturer and Moderator for The World Bank Institute courses on Trade Policy, Export Development, Growth and Poverty; and as trade policy consultant for the World Bank's support program to Bolivia.

Ernesto obtained his PhD from Purdue in 2006 under the direction of Tom Hertel. He was a Fulbright Scholar during his Master Studies, and his thesis was awarded as the Southern Illinois University's Best Master thesis in 2000. He was elected as one of the 2009-2012 GTAP Research Fellows.
